Not all that long ago, a really great guy walked into my shop looking to buy some wood to use to build a table. I was really interested in his project; He wanted to build a harvest table for his daughter. I thought it was pretty awesome that Gary wanted to build a table for his daughter, which would be built with love. So…I was keen on helping him.
Gary ended up taking a load of threshing boards for the project.
I just received these photos of Gary’s finished table. It’s a 12 foot monster with extensions on either end. The main table is bread board style. The extensions are bread board as well…but Gary has reversed them.
The legs are an interesting design and offer a bit of contrast to the simple slab top.
The color of the top came out beautifully. Gary told be he applied 10 coats of urethane.
Nice job sir!
Gary has a lot to be proud of in this table. I’m sure he has built a family heirloom.
What a great father! I’m inspired to do the same for my kids when the time comes!!
